COMPUTER SECTION

There has been a computer section at youth centre Pinkland since its foundation. After getting some new equipment we established a special computer team of the youth called RDG (Work and Design Group) beside the computer courses and some spontaneous work with computers.

In the beginning our team designed newspapers and wall papers. We also learned to use different software (Corel Draw, Photo Paint and Photoshop). Later our computer team started to design web pages. We have also published a PC guide, an IT dictionary and an internet dictionary. At the same time when our technical equipment has improved the challenges have become bigger as well. Now one of those challenges is video editing.

VIDEO TEAM

Beside bigger projects like making movies our job is to film everything that happens at youth centre Pinkland. We are always there to film all events in or out of our youth centre.

We made our first movie in 2004. It was called Banovi ć ka jesen (Autumn of Banovi ći) and it got three different versions by three different directors. After that we did montages about the winter in Banovi ći and surroundings. As a result we had short movies called Voda, led i snijeg (Water, ice and snow), Priroda zimi (Nature in winter), Januar 2005 (January 2005), Zima 2005 (Winter 2005) and Voda i led (Water and ice).

Next we got an idea to make documentaries about the art fair, the kung fu show case and the dancing section at Pinkland. We also made reportages about our excursions to Zlaca and the mountain peak of Varda . The first big production we made was a movie for Pinkland's 10 th anniversary ( 10 years of Youth Centre Pinkland ) in 2005. There were a lot of old Pinkland members at the premier of this film to share all the unforgettable moments.

In the beginning of 2006 our video team got new members. It was the first time when girls stepped into the team bringing their new ideas and points of view. As one of the bigger productions we made a documentary film about the history of the town of Banovi ći on its 60 th anniversary year. We wanted to tell the story of our town by interviewing old inhabitants and using old photos of important happenings like the leaving of the first black coal train from the town's mine. The successful premier was on September 23 rd . In 2006 we also made a parody of the classic Rocky film.

At the moment we are making preparations for a horror movie S druge strane (From the other side) and a western parody which is still waiting for its title.

T he video team uses Ulead Video Studio 9.0 and Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 for editing. In the beginning the films were shot by 8 mm camera but now we use digital cameras. All the videos are edited in DV format.
